Yellow Moong Dal Ladoo (3 Ingredients Only)

Dear Reader,

Thank you for visiting my page to get the recipe. This is a very easy Ladoo to make at home and is also packed with lots of health benefits. I love these ladoos especially for its taste. My mom helped me prepare it and she gave me tons of information about why i should eat this ladoo. Well, first thing i am pregnant and i need the proteins from dal and ghee in this ladoo makes it flavorful and adds healthy weight gain for my body. Though the sugar content is high it can be made healthy by substituting it with jaggery or brown sugar. Hope you'll give it a try and post your comments below.

Things Needed:
  • Yellow broken moong dal- 1 cup
  • Sugar - 1 cup ( can be substituted with 3/4th cup of Jaggery or brown sugar)
  • Ghee - as required (i used about 1/4 cup melted)
  • Cardamon powder - 1/2 tbsp (optional)
Method:

1. Take a pan and dry roast the moong dal to golden brown color on medium flame. Be patient and roast it to get even color on all the dals. Once the dal is well roasted, transfer to a plate and let it cool down for 15 to 20 mins

2. Take the roasted dal in a blender and add the sugar along, blend well till u get a very soft and smooth flour. You can add whole cardamon pods while grinding the dal and sugar if you want more flavor.

3. Spread the ladoo flour (which we just ground) on a wide plate and let it cool down for 5 minutes. Once its cool pour in melted ghee little by little and make ladoo's out of it.

I Like the ladoos a bit dry so i have added lesser amount of ghee, you can add more for very soft texture and taste. You can also top the ladoos with your favorite Nuts and Fruits.

Yummy Homemade 3 ingredient ladoos are now ready to hit my taste buds!

Here is an yummier version of this ladoo made by my sissy. She replaced sugar with coconut palm sugar and added chopped nuts and lots of ghee. Must have tasted great! i so wish i could taste her version. I am definitely going to give it a try.

Enjoy! (^_^)
