Classic Butter Cream Frosting
19th August 2015: I got my first kitchen weighing machine :D, yeah finally i got mine now so i can gladly go for the gram measures instead of cup measures. I wanted to bake a special cake for my fiance' for a long time and here it is. He loves coffee and i am going to make the same old coffee cake which is my all time favorite with a classic coffee and chocolate buttercream frosting. Here is how i mixed it all up (^_^)

Things Needed:
Butter - 50 grams (cubed and in room temperature)
Sugar - 22 grams
Egg Yolk - 1 (or) 12 grams (room temperature)
Water - 13 grams
Coffee powder- 1tsp
Chocolate powder - 1tsp
Vanilla essence - few drops
Method:
1. Lets keep everything handy, Dissolve coffee and chocolate powder in few tablespoons of water and vanilla, and make a thick paste.
2. Beat the egg yolk on high speed for a minute.
3. Add water to sugar in a pan and bring to a boil, let it boil until u get the one string consistency.
4. Pour the hot syrup little at a time into the yolk by turning off your beater while pouring.
Note:
-If you pour it while your beater is on its going to cool down too fast and form threads.
-By pouring hot syrup to egg the yolk will get cooked and you will not get the raw taste.
5.Once all the syrup is poured into the egg mixture, beat on high speed for 5 minutes or until the sides of the mixing bowl is completely cool and egg mixture turns to pale yellow.
6. Finally add the Butter cubes and beat for another 5 minutes. And your classic butter cream frosting is ready.
7. Its very important to check if the egg mixture has completely cooled down before adding butter if it is hot, the butter will melt and you will have to start over again.
8. Finally add the flavoring. Pour in the dissolved coffee and chocolate mixed with vanilla. Beat for extra 2 minutes.
Frost cake with this yummy coffee n chocolate butter cream after the cake has cooled down completely.
