Chocolate Cup Cake
A delicious and moist chocolate cup cake recipe with cream cheese frosting.

- Plain Flour - 3/4 cup
- Raw Sugar - 3/4 cup
- Cocoa Powder -1/3 cup (Sifted and dutch processed)
- Baking Soda - 1/2 teaspoon
- Baking Powder - 1/4 teaspoon
- Salt - a Pinch
- Egg - 1
- Milk - 1/3 Cup
- Hot boiling water - 1/4 cup
- Vanilla essence - 1 teaspoon
- Oil - 1/4 cup (any flavourless oil - I used sunflower oil)
For the Cream Cheese Frosting:
- Cream Cheese - 250 grams (1 block)
- Butter - 50 grams (softened)
- White Sugar - 1/2 cup
- Lemon Juice - 1 teaspoon
- Vanilla Essence - 1 teaspoon
Method:
For the Cake:
1. Mix all the dry ingredients in a lare bowl. My little helper was doing all the mixing work for me .
2. Once the dry ingredients are mixed together dump in all the wet ingredients and whisk until it looks dark brown, chocolaty and finger licking good.
3. Divide the batter equally into 12 muffin cups and bake in a preheated oven at 180 degree Celcius for 20-25 minutes.
For the Frosting:
A quick, simple and most delicious frosting. This is my go to frosting recipe for almost all cakes and cupcakes.
Make sure the cream cheese and butter are in room temperature. If you dont have enough time for that just give it 10 seconds in a microwave ot until you feel its soft to touch. Dont let it MELT!.
Wisk together all the ingredients for the frosting until it looks soft and silky.
Frost the cupcake once it cools down, add some sprikles on top and enjoy (^_^)
